How Unifyr helped Ooma replatform its PRM, adding new partners, more deals, and a superior partner experience.

Ooma, an established telecommunications company serving over 2 million users in more than 30 countries, moved its almost decade-old partner program to the Unifyr platform after its previous PRM kept failing. With close to 800 registered partners across Channel Partners, TSDs, VARs, and Resellers, Ooma now runs deal registration, co-marketing, and partner training from a single portal that partners genuinely enjoy using.
The ask
Ooma had tried to make its partner program work on a different PRM provider, and it never ran smoothly. The platform would fail without warning, the CRM integration was a constant obstacle, and deal registration, a capability critical to the program, could never be properly configured. The vendor’s support team wasn’t collaborative or solutions-driven enough to help.
Having decided to switch, Ooma evaluated multiple platforms with two clear requirements: a quick implementation, and functionality that worked right out of the box without a great deal of development.
The impact
- ~200 deals registered through the portal in the last three months alone
- ~90% of Ooma’s TSDs now registering deals on the platform
- ~700 pieces of collateral downloaded by partners in the last few months
- Live in a few months, with core features switched on and working without additional development
- Deal registration integrated directly with their CRM, described as more than half the reason partners log into the portal regularly
The solution
How did Ooma get a full-featured partner platform live in a few months, win back its TSDs, and turn deal registration into the main reason partners log in? “That kind of dependability instills real confidence in our operations and enhances the credibility of our entire organization.”
