Your buyer is two tiers away

Canon, LG, Panasonic Connect Europe and Synology use Unifyr to keep the reseller behind each distributor on the record.

Distribute

The distributor is a field on the reseller

Every reseller record names the distributor it buys through, and that field filters and groups like any other. You can see a distributor's resellers without either of them being an account above the other.

Register

The deal names both parties

A registration carries the reseller that found the deal and the distributor the order will pass through, so approvals and credit come off one record rather than out of somebody's inbox.

Fund

Co-op accrues where the volume is

Fund types carry a reimbursement rate, and a partner claims against evidence. Balances, approvals and payments sit on the same screen as the activity that earned them.

Measure

Sell-through, by distributor

Registered and influenced revenue read by distributor, by tier and by certification, in the same place the deals were filed.

Only the distributor buys from you directly

Buys in volume, carries the credit risk, and often runs the enablement you would otherwise run yourself. You see what it bought from you; what it sold on is the number you have to ask for.
Buys from the distributor rather than from you, which is why its record names the distributor it buys through. That field is what lets you report on a partner you never invoiced.
Specifies your equipment into a plant or a building years before anyone orders it. Its influence lands as revenue no purchase order from it will ever explain.
Installs and maintains what somebody else sold, and is the only party the end customer ever meets. What it needs is parts, warranty terms and a current manual.

Ask which distributor they bought through

The distributor is a field on every reseller's record, so the assistant names who bought through whom, and what they sold on afterwards, without waiting for a distributor's report.

Sign-in happens in your browser, so there is no token to issue or rotate, and the assistant reaches only the data your own account already reaches.

Sell-through comes from the reseller's own activity

Can a distributor manage its own resellers in the portal?
Not as an account above them, because partner accounts do not nest. What exists instead is the relationship as data: each reseller's record names the distributor it buys through, that field filters and groups, and a partner group built on it can carry its own content, pricebook and plan. Two-tier distribution.
How do we see sell-through when we only invoice the distributor?
From the reseller's own activity rather than from the distributor's report. A deal registered by a reseller, a lead accepted, a certification earned and a claim filed are all records you hold directly, and each one names the distributor behind it. Sell-through.
Can we find the partners certified for a particular market?
Yes. Industry certifications are a field on the partner record and one of the filters in Partner Explorer, so a search for the partners qualified to sell into a given sector is a filter rather than a spreadsheet somebody maintains.
How do we credit an integrator that never buys from us?
As influence rather than as revenue it invoiced. Influenced and sourced figures are reported apart precisely so a specifier who shapes a project without transacting still appears against it. System integrator.
Does this replace anything in our ERP?
No. The ERP keeps the order, the price and the shipment; this holds the partner, the registration and the enablement, and the two exchange records. Nobody outside the company is issued an ERP seat to file a deal.
